Getlitafrica is an online all-encompassing arts opportunities platform that includes movies, poetry, prose, visual arts, music, comedy, and literature. We share variety of art related opportunities such as fellowships and scholarships for people in the art field to explore and advance their career.

We have carried out projects such as spoken word poetry competitions and art exhibitions that build capacity, discovering emerging African artist(e)s in the process. We are passionate about building an all-inclusive Art community of budding and experienced youths by engaging them with the resources, training and mentorship needed to advance their craft.

To become the Premier Creative Hub for African Storytelling and talent development pipeline for all creatives.

At the moment, we are connecting youths to career opportunities like scholarships, residencies and fellowships online via our website and emails without charging any amount. We hope to build a large audience with time and later have them pay a small subscription fee to access even more exclusive opportunities.

Objectives

Utilize art and poetry competition

Utilize art and poetry competitions, content creation, movie productions, and art exhibitions to bring together professional and upcoming artists and other stakeholders.

Build up an Art community

Build up an Art community using mentorship programs and online masterclasses and help train upcoming artist(e)s build guided career paths them. This bridges the skills and craft deficit in the industry and by extension, improves the gdp of the economy since our target audience are the youths and creatives.

Share valuable information and resources

Share valuable information and resources with all creative professionals to ignite ideas and grant them access to international funding, residencies and fellowships.

Olawale Oluwadahunsi

Olawale Oluwadahunsi

Creative Director
The CEO is Olawale OLUWADAHUNSI, he is the brain behind of GetlitAfrica, and currently serving as its Creative Director. He began writing poetry at the age of fourteen, and through personal training and study, poetry became a lifestyle for him as he was featured by Compass newspaper (now defunct), as the rising star of the week at age 19. He became an Arts journalist with National Mirror newspaper and later, a movie critic (Talents Durban) at Durban International Film Festival, South Africa in 2015. He is also an Art curator, having curated two Art Exhibitions in Nigeria, ‘LIFE’ and ‘One Home, One Farmer’ in 2016 and 2017 respectively in conjunction with National Council for Arts and Culture and Didi Museum, and In August 2017, he was selected as a United Nations youth delegate at the 20th Summer assembly at the United Nations Headquarters, New York. In 2023, he became a delegate at the World Bank youth summit in at the World Bank Headquarters, Washington DC.
Tolu Ajayi-Dahunsi

Tolu AJAYI-DAHUNSI

General Manager
The General Manager is Tolu AJAYI-DAHUNSI; She started her career as a Business Development Executive with Ficcoms international (Now Bravo media) then she was PA to country manager Mecuria Oil and Gas. She then moved to Customer Service executive MTN Nigeria, then marketing executive Sterling bank where she became brand and Customer Service Executive. Then she became Brand, Sales, Customer Service with Lennox mall Lekki (also partly owned by the management of Sterling bank). She is presently managing the team in Getlitafrica excellently.

Oluwatosin Ajeigbe

Project Coordinator
The Program Coordinator/Creative Media Officer is Oluwatosin AJEIGBE is a self taught music producer, video editor, and graphics designer. He is also a Sports Social Entrepreneur, and a civil engagement specialist. His youth development engagement project, Banny Football League has spanned over 5 years, becoming a safe haven which promotes sportsmanship, youth engagement and fitness in Surulere Lagos. He was the former video editor and sound man at Switch Media TV, he was also part of the creative of One Home One Farmer Art Exhibition by Fingerprints Nigeria. Oluwatosin is the current Programs Coordinator and Creative Media Officer at Getlitafrica who is doing great job on his roles.

Human Resource Manager
The Human Resource Manager is Abisola Amusan with background in Environmental Science, she was the Progams Coordinator of two (2) successful Poetry and Arts Exhibition by Fingerprints Nigeria. She was also the Coordinator of the first Poetry Competition for Poetic Mines. She enjoys drawing and meeting people for positive outcomes in the environment.

The Social Media Manager and Creative Content Coordinator is Temitope OKE; she is a creative catalyst, writer, artist, visual story teller and travel enthusiast. She is a creative at heart and always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow her skill and make a difference in the world.

Oluwaferanmi Durojaiye

Editor Literary/Journalist
The Editor Literary/Journalist is Oluwaferanmi Durojaiye with a background in Law and a strong passion for creative writing and editing. Throughout her academic journey, she had actively engaged in various writing and editing projects, including blog posts, radio hosting, organizing an arts exhibition experience, and magazine editing. These experiences have not only sharpened her editorial skills but have also instilled in her a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling and effective communication. She is currently doing a great job writing interesting stories and other write ups and working to make Getlitafrica a continuously growing company.
