His research works and creative essays have been published in several journals, books and monographs.
Several time awarded, Kunle Filani is a member of International Art Critics Association (IACA) and of Culture and Creative Arts Forum (CCAF) in Nigeria.

He is also the director of Photo Garage, which offers an indigenous platform for domestic and global intellectual photography exchanges. He is also the director of Depth of Field (DOF), a photography collective based in Lagos.
