Who may enter
The contest is open to artists who are 18 years old or older.
Short description
The competition is organized by the Isaac Newton Institute, UK.
“ The entry must connected to the mathematical themes as described on the “Stochastic systems for anomalous diffusion” programme website.
Some potential mathematical themes that could be explored are: (ir)regularity and anomaly of mathematical patterns, interacting particle systems, fluid and gas dynamics, random networks, reflecting processes, interacting random walks and their geometry, diffusive processes, kinetic art.
There are three competition categories:
• Photograph, painting, film, print, animation;
• Textile, sculpture or other medium;
• AI and computer-generated art.
Entry fee
The competition is free to enter.
Prizes
• 1st Prize: £750 in each of the three categories
• Runner-up: £300 in each of the three categories
• Honourable mention: £150 in each of the three categories
• People’s Choice Prize: £750
