The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over.
Short description
The contest is organized by Scottish Arts Trust, based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
“ Announcing a new non-fiction prize for features, memoirs, travelogues, philosophical reflections or insightful analyses of historic or contemporary issues.
You may submit an essay on any theme, up to 2,000 words.
Your work must be in English, original, and unpublished.

£10 per essay
Prizes
• First Prize: £1,000
• Second Prize: £500
• Third Prize: £250
Publication in The Edinburgh Essays offered to the authors of the top 15 essays.
